Kate on Mathnet?

TrackerOC
Anyone notice that Mathnet's lovely female agent not only has her same first name, but also looks a lot like Kate Mulgrew? If you point out that it IS Kate Mulgrew and I'm an idiot, I'll mea culpa and point it's been years since I saw the series...

No, the part of Kate Monday was played by Beverly Leech, although interestingly enough she did cross paths with Captain Janeway, playing "Dayla" in the 2000 episode "Nightingale." However, because of her alien makeup there was no chance for wacky Patty Duke show-style shenanigans.

She is no stranger to the Science Fiction milieu, having also played Elizabeth Sheridan in the B5 episode "Revelations," making her one of the select few to appear in shows for both of these powerhouse series, as well as Quantum Leap, Alien Nation, and Sledge Hammer.

Huh...that actually is kinda interesting. I remember watching that show...I wonder if appearing on an educational show like that had an effect on the roles she later decided to play being science fictiony. Either way, it's a weird coincidence.

Ah, well then, perhaps you might also find it interesting that her character on "MathNet" was replaced by one named "Pat," and, uh, she later appeared in the movie, "It's Pat!"
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Okay, now, that one's a bit of a stretch.

I think maybe you're reaching at this point.

I don't know, 'Pat,' 'It's Pat,' that's a pretty good coincidence.

No, I mean, I think he tried to touch my thigh.
