Humans > Aliens in Sci-Fi?

Ozar
Are there any Sci-Fi series where the humans are technologically superior to aliens? And as a consequence are able to easily invade their planets and slaughter them by the bucketful?

Because I'm getting really tired of stories where it's the other way around. Are there *any* Sci-Fi authors who don't hate humanity so much that they insist on portraying them as hapless dolts unable to defend themselves from death rays that kill them in an undignified manner?

This isn't directed at anything in particular, although I will say that I hated both Mars Attacks! and Babylon 5: In the Beginning.

Oh, and games don't count.

Hello? We kick so much ass that we have a Prime Directive to keep us from kicking so much ass.

And every time we meet up with one of those 'superior beings' we either outfox 'em or blow 'em up anyway.

So you want humanity takin' charge, it's Star Trek for you.

However, at my point in history, the Vulcans are quite superior to the humans in both technology and social structure.

And it's all downhill from there, ain't it?

I'm sorry, but, frankly, everything after the 7th movie basically sucks.

And even I admit that Generations wasn't all that hot.
