The funny thing is, when we wrote The Constitution, we thought that we were making a document so obvious and clear, that it would need no interpretation.
In fact, we didn't even consider the Bill of Rights to be necessary. We thought than any reasonable person couldn't possible think for a second that any of these basic rights had to be written down to be made valid.
Boy were we wrong. I can't even begin to image how much more this government would have decayed if it hadn't been for those 10 Amendments.
I mean really people, sit down sometime and actually read The Constitution. There are no two ways to interpret "Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech ..." and "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, now prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively or to the people."
Well..
Fine, we made one lousy little slip up. We left in a clause allowing the Federal Government to "... provide for the general welfare...", and that little loophole has been stretched to hell and back.
We're getting Space Moose to help us with the next draft of the Constitution. We think it will take the governmental process to the next level.

No, wait, that's not right, let's see...
