When there's two askees on one icon, is the one on the left talking when the icon's on the left? Or is it the person the text's next to who's speaking?

That is a most excellent question, asker. The answer is the Asker with the text next to them is speaking. To illustrate this, Ted and I have prepared a little demonstration.
