I would have thought capitalization to COME with old age. Mainly young people fail to capitalize from what I've noticed...

I would have to agree. People of my "advanced" age see the Internet as simply an alternate means of communicating with normal, complete sentences.
The younger folks (19-20 and younger) see it more of a way of comunicating the gist of their thoughts, using a stream of lowercase, unpunctuated words.
I'm almost positive there's a potential sociology paper lurking in there somewhere.
You always say that when you notice people younger than you doing something you don't understand.
