Joseph Smith claimed that Dad included in the Word of Wisdom that things like tobacco, caffeine, alcohol, and other mind-altering substances were generally not good for people.
Of course, all of that took place in the nineteenth century; today, the negative health effects of those drugs have been shown by science.
