Some kid in my astronomy class asked the prof if the moon ever increases in size. His logic was that since it sometimes looks bigger in the sky, then it actually must be growing in mass. My teacher just stared at him blankly and walked away. Does this mean that he is right? And if so, if the moon got really big and had a street fight with earth, who would win?
