I don't think the upgrade to PS3 will be worth it, what can you tell me to persuade otherwise?

Well, it doesn't have to be "worth it" per se to get you to upgrade.
Just remember that the sequels to all your favorite PS2 franchises will only be available on the PS3.
Except Tony Hawk. I think Activision back-ported that thing to the Atari 800 for crying out loud.
