Your likelyhood of being answered by the Conversatron is waaay better than the likelyhood of being answered by any given divine being.

Even if your "answer" is just an insult from Alf...

Yeah, well, I'm guessing that if the average divine being could just answer with an insult from Alf, their response rate would be a bit higher, too.
