If the military couldn't get the supplies, they would pull back since they couldn't be of any use until they were ready. Therefore the protestors wouldn't really be putting soldiers in danger, the generals would be the ones making that choice.

Young man, we're talking about soldiers engaged in combat with the enemy, not cub scouts out on a damn picnic!
"Oh, excuse me, Mr. The Enemy, can you stop shooting and let us go home now? We seem to have run out of ammunition and food."
What you're saying essentially boils down to "If I throw a punch at your face, it's actually your fault for getting hurt because you should have dodged it."
That being said, it's all pretty much a moot point, as a bunch of damn hippies have no real chance at stopping the mighty coalition war machine.
