Are you guys close-minded or what? Anime doesn't deserve your hatred. Sure, you've got your tentacle rape crap, yelling and blowing things up shit, movies about building sized Rock Em' Sock Em' Robots, but you also have the deeper, artistic stuff that comes along once in a blue moon. Just watch anything done by Mamoru Oshii, just give it a chance, man!

Now, now, calm down there, guy. We don't really hate anime. It's all an act. We're well aware that some if it isn't head-explodingly terrible. Sometimes we're contrary just for the sake of being contrary.
