Wasnt the point of daylight savings time to give Farmers more time to work on the fields or something? Even Homer (my hero) was early to work coz of it and said "Stupid Farmers"

The real answer is it's to conserve energy. You get more daylight in the summer for both the morning and the night, but more people are up at night. If those people don't need to use electric lights, you save energy.
