Why do all the aliens in cartoons not only speak English, but usually with an American accent? This applies to most sci-fi on television or in the movies, as well, but I was watching Space Ghost Coast to Coast when I thought of this question, I mean, shouldn't Zorak, for example, speak some sort of clicking dialect? He's an insectoid, for cryin' out loud! Insects don't have vocal chords! What gives?

This stupid mouse-driven Universal Translator interface isn't working either.
