I just wanted to let you guys know that I snuck a whole page of Conversatron and geek references into an IBM publication I wrote, soon to become a published book from Big Blue. If you go to http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redpieces/pdfs/sg246191.pdf and check out page 292, you will see the myriad references. Here are their explanations:
toaster (ToasterPants! I was going to have the next entry be "pants", but my editor wouldn't allow for a server named pants.)
machine (Naked Washing Machine Boy)
bob (Bob Dole's ToasterPants)
lester (duh)
joel (MST3K, naturally)
mike (ibid)
tron (Conversatron, not the frisbee guy)
forum (Forum3000. In the example, I had denied access to everyone from the Forum)
