I am now an official 'Tron geek. I actually had a dream last night with a reference to the Conversatron.
I was in school, and everyone filed into what looked like a one thousand occupancy auditorium. There was a projection set up and one guy down below at a computer who I could barely see. People would ask things and the guy at the computer would take a moment to set it up on his computer and then you would have the familiar askees answering the questions up on the projection. The only people really laughing were me and my friends who visit the 'Tron, because no one else really got it.
Funny that in my dream, I still couldn't see the person controlling the Conversatron.
He WAS wearing a red jumpsuit though.
