Among primitive skills enthusiasts and primitive peoples, the most common "wipe" in the woods is the "Ranger wipe"--the basic wipe with one hand, then wipe your hand with something else. I always thought this was because of forest rangers or maybe Army Rangers. Then, in a fit of Tolkien-inspired creativity, I realized maybe it had something to do with Aragorn. Perhaps it should be called the "Wipe of Westernesse." Takers?
