Architect = Satan pretending to be God, tempting Neo (Jesus), who has healing powers and tries to save humanity by converting them to the truth. Or something. I never did read the Book.

I had no idea there was a novelization of The Matrix out, but I'll probably just wait for the TV show based on the book based on the movie instead.
