The characters were boring and one-dimensional (personality wise). When the CG animation is so fantastic, why must the characters suck??

Personally, or should I say robotally, my main sticking point with this film was that the Barrier City was faced with a major crisis, yet children were not put in charge, nor even allowed access to the decision-making meeting.
It's almost like this movie wasn't written in Japan.
