Have independent scientific studies been conducted to determine whether or not the Conversatron is indeed "hotter than a $2 pistol" as the tagline claims? I wish to examine your methodology and data. Please provide your data for analysis.

Certainly. We here at Conversatron Labs have taken temperature readings of the air in and around the Conversatron. While the data is fascinating, there is too much to be listed here, but suffice it to say it is near "room temperature."
Now, since we are to prove that the Conversatron is hotter than "a" $2 pistol, and not "all" $2 pistols, my assistant will now go get an ordinary $2 pistol which we have been storing in a bath of liquid nitrogen. We will then measure its temperature, and prove our hypothesis.
