Every single thread, no matter how lame, has a rating abost the midway 2.5 mark. C'mon, people, for the threads to be meaningfull, every thread that is jsut "average" should be recieving 2's and 3's, not 4's and 5's! Toughen up, you pukes!

The problem is that many people only rate threads they find funny, and give them 4 or 5s. Since most threads have a few people who think they're funny, it inflates the ratings, so that an "average" thread is about 3.5, a "good" one is 4.0 and a "great" one is 4.5 or higher. We also have a term for threads under 2.0.

Argh, this is so true! Democracy sucks. Oh, and I notice this thread is only at 1.67. Time to open it up?

Perhaps they're simply taking your advice to heart.

People on the Internet, taking good advice? I fail to believe it.
Lord Amazorn
No, I said they were following your advice.
