Obtuse
There are nerds, and then there are (best said in Ogre-from-Nerds voice) NNEERRRDDSSS. The main distiction is that plain old nerds generally have more tact in public areas. If one is a NNEERRRDD, it is in their reproductive best interest to only act as such covertly.
