Fewer posts means less work for everybody. Why would anyone complain?

Because people want a distraction from their shallow, pointless lives. Every day, they go to work and accomplish essentially nothing, and they don't want to face the facts that if they don't change, the Earth would have been better without them.
One less person polluting, one less person consuming scarce resources, one less person who has contributed nothing to those around him.
So people turn to laughter to block out the pain of their meaningless existence, to act as a stop-gap for a life they cannot justify. And yet the buried anxieties, self-doubt, and fears mount up beneath the surface.
Someone get shot down again?
