Why do so many people insist on using handles they don't know the origins of? You wouldn't believe how many questions of this sort we get.
It's like all those folks who get artistic looking chinese characters tatooed onto their arms only to later find out that their tatoo proudly proclaims "I am an idiot".
But if I had to guess, I'd say your handle probably comes from the name of a character in Diana Paxson's novel The White Raven.
I love how "google" + "time delayed responses" = "illusion of omniscience."
