When I was 12, I heard a ghost stomping down the old wooden stairs in my friends house in the middle of the night. Although I never saw it, I'm absolutely positive that it was the ghost of the guy who played the first Darren on Bewitched.

Dick York didn't die until 1992. It was much more likely a full-torso Agnes Moorehead apparition.

Quite. Did you know that she was one of the cast members of the ill fated film "The Conquerer", which was fimed in 1954 in the Nevada desert close by to where the government was doing certain nuclear tests. In later years those tests were suspected to have caused the cancer deaths of several of the films stars including John Wayne, Dick Powell, Susan Hayward, and Lee Van Cleef. So she probably wasn't very happy.
Be glad it wasn't a full-fledged Van Cleef sighting. At 12 years old, I doubt you'd have recovered emotionally.
