I think one of the worst cliches ever is when you have this scenario, person one has done something for person two, person two turns to leave the room and you have a dialog like this:
Person Two:You really came through for me.
Person One: Just be more cerful next time.
(Person Two goes to leave then stops and turns around slightly)
Person Two: And hey person one (meaningful pause), thanks.
(Person To leaves)
I swear this take occurs once per any given TV show or movie. Or something so similar to it as to be indistinguishable.
