Don't worry, once the grid came back online everyone was automatically sent back where they came from, free to live a life of spiritual fufillment, or whatever it is they do. So everything ended up fine, in typical episodic science fiction fashion.

In fact, we just got a message from Wise Turtle, and he was very nice about the whole thing, even if he did accidently call us the "Conservatron."
