Who should they get to star in the next Batman film? Should they even MAKE another Batman film, or just forget the whole thing?

No. In fact, they should start making films made of pure Anitbatman, which will hopefully meet with, and annihiliate, the last two Batman movies.
If Joel Schumacher is killed in the explosion, that's just pure gravy.
