So, since we're on the subject, I've been wondering about Lucas' selective marketing strategy, releasing slightly better versions of the same product. The trilogy, the digitaly remastered trilogy, the special edition trilogy. Will we be seeing the same marketing for the next set? Do we care after seeing episode 1?

Good question, I'm glad you asked. This whole endless cycle of Star Wars rereleases bothers me too. I don't think that people should have to wade through all these releases, there should be one definative version and no other.

That's another reason why I'm not releasing Star Wars on DVD - I'm waiting for blue-laser HD-DVD for my definative Star Wars Saga boxed set. I want to show you all the zillions and zillions of hours of footage showing you how all the effects were done.
