Captain, I am picking up a very unusual subspace transmission.
Old, Tired Kirk
On screen.

It is not that easy, Captain. It appears to be an ancient text only protocol, dating back to the 20th century. The computer has identified it as "Irk".
Old, Tired Kirk
A 20th century text protocol? Who would be using that in this day and age?
Old, Tired Spock
It appears to be eminating from the solar-flare activity of the nearby sun. Perhaps the immense magnetic fields generated by the coronal mass ejection have created a temporal wormhole, allowing "Irk" to pass back and forth.
Old, Tired Kirk
Oh come on now, I'm not a big science officer like you, but you don't expect me to fall for that do you? Coronal mass ejections causing time traveling TCP signals?

[20:13] <Kirk> Double dumbass on you, 20th century! You suck!
[20:13] <Kirk> By the way, save the whales!
Old, Tired Kirk
Ohh, I love that line.
