Ok. Since someone somewhere in this long list of questions said something about this movie and since I watched it this weekend, I thought I'd bring this up. There is one point in the film where Spock says that he is "understandably curious" about such and such test results. This seems like an odd thing to say about oneself, since it seems that it would be difficult to judge whether others would fully understand why one is curious. Now, we all know that Vulcans are pretty logical. But is Spock's statement a logical thing to say?

When one has spent a year training a class of cadets, it is perfectly logical to be curious if your cadets are successful.
