The Topic: Slide Rule

Yeawen
What exactly is a slide rule?

It states that if there are runners on base and a fly ball is hit to one of the basemen or the shortstop, with less than two out, then the batter-runner is automatically out, and the other runners must stay at their bases. Oh, and they have to slide.

Mike Nelson
Crow, that's the "infield fly rule"...um, mostly.

Tom Servo
I thought that was when you tried to tell someone their zipper was down in public.

Mike Nelson
That's the X-Y-Z rule. Well, it's not really a rule as much...

Crow T. Robot
Wait, wasn't that an undeclared naval war between France and the United states in the late 18th century?

Tom Servo
Crow, that was the XYZ Affair.

Crow T. Robot
Oh...wait, what was the original question again?

Mike Nelson
You know, I honestly don't remember.
