Speaking of lame cliches

The Question:
 Tenebrae

I think one of the worst cliches ever is when you have this scenario, person one has done something for person two, person two turns to leave the room and you have a dialog like this:

Person Two:You really came through for me.
Person One: Just be more cerful next time.
(Person Two goes to leave then stops and turns around slightly)
Person Two: And hey person one (meaningful pause), thanks.
(Person To leaves)

I swear this take occurs once per any given TV show or movie. Or something so similar to it as to be indistinguishable.

Dude, I am so totally tired of that.

It seems so much entertainment is aimed toward the lowest common denominator.

 Bill & Ted

We don't get many movies or television shows that try to elevate us while entertaining.

Bill & Ted

Dude, Speaking of entertaining, isn't that what we're supposed to be doing here?

 Bill & Ted

Uh, yeah. Ummm, uhhh.

Bill & Ted

How 'bout Wyld Stallyns Rule!

 Bill & Ted

Excellent!

 Bill & Ted

You really came thru for me there, Dude.

Bill & Ted

Just be more careful next time.

 Bill & Ted

And hey, Bill.
